Arizona Man Charged with Sexually Abusing Mass. Teenage Boy

A Chandler, Arizona man was charged with driving a 14-year-old boy from Pittsfield, Massachusetts to Arizona and having sex with him, KNXV-TV reported.

Brad David Cooper, 47, admitted to posing as a 16-year-old boy named “Trent” and talking with the 14-year-old over the phone, online and through video chat, a police reported cited by KNXV said. The two apparently met using an online website.

Cooper admitted to police that he drove to Pittsfield and picked the boy up near his home on June 6, according to police documents.

Cooper drove the boy from Massachusetts to Arizona making stops in New York, Indiana and Oklahoma and New Mexico. The victim told police he engaged in sexual relations with Cooper during the trip back to Arizona, according to the report.

Cooper was charged with 22 counts of sexual abuse.
