Stephanie Scannell joined Fogelman & Fogelman as an associate in the Massachusetts office in March 2011. She practices in all areas of civil litigation, and has particular experience in criminal law, having recently completed a one-year stint as a Special Assistant District Attorney for the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office in Chelsea, MA. During that time, Ms. Scannell handled over 400 criminal cases in all stages of litigation, including trial. She now handles criminal defense cases, including OUI's/DUI's and drug charges.

A Boston native, Ms. Sacnnell graduated in 2002 from Ohio Northern University, where she majored in Criminal Justice and Psychology with a minor in Chemistry, and graduated with distinction. Ms. Scannell graduated from Rutgers Law School in Newark, NJ, in 2009. She was an Articles Editor for the Rutgers Law Review, Treasurer of the Women's Law Forum, and the student pro bono coordinator for the Neisser Pro Bono Program. She worked part-time at Russell Trocano & Associates, a small law firm in New Jersey, and spent her second summer at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, LLP in Manhattan. While obtaining her law degree, Ms. Scannell simultaneously earned her Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology from the City University of New York, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, in 2009.

Ms. Scannell has also worked for the American Arbitration Association and as a Paralegal for the federal government (Bureau of Prisons). During this time, she also volunteered as a Public Educator for the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, and was honored with the organization's Janet Yassen Award in 2006.

Ms. Scannell is admitted to practice law in both Massachusetts and New York, and is a member of the Massachusetts, New York, and Boston Bar Associations.
